WRECO provides innovative designs and services that protect our communities’ water resources and promote responsible floodplain management. Our vast experience and big-picture approach allow us to come up with creative solutions that balance sustainability and project aesthetics while managing runoff in an efficient, cost-effective way.

Our projects range from typical to state-of-the-art, from simple parking lot construction, small culvert crossings, FEMA Flood Insurance Study restudies, and dam inundation studies to large projects such as multijurisdictional flood studies, watershed studies, Storm Drain Master Plans, and multiple-span bridge projects over major waterbodies, and all types and sizes of projects in between. Our specialties also include creating 1-D and 2-D models for both steady state and unsteady state conditions with a variety of modeling programs. Our success in developing solutions to protect and enhance water resources is evidenced by our long-term client relationships and repeat business in this field. For example, since 2002, WRECO has been providing on-call services to Caltrans District 4 for water quality, hydraulics, and treatment best management practice (BMP) recommendations and design. We have also built relationships with local flood control and water conservation agencies, and we have a pattern of repeat business with those city, county, and regional agencies as well.
