The City of Dublin held the grand opening of their new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified Public Safety Complex on Clark Avenue. The $16 million construction project included the demolition of two buildings, renovation of one building, and reconstruction of another. The new complex maximizes stormwater treatment, prevents flooding, and recharges groundwater through the use of bioswales. In addition, the site incorporates a number of other features to optimize energy performance and reduce environmental impact, such as incorporating solar carports; utilizing renewable, natural, and recycled/adapted items for construction; maximizing natural lighting to reduce energy consumption; and more.
WRECO assisted with the Basis of Design Report and prepared the Low-Impact Development Stormwater Treatment Measures Memorandum and Hydrology and Hydraulic Analyses Memorandum. WRECO also prepared the civil design plans, which included the site, erosion control, grading, drainage, utility, and pavement delineation plans.
